OC Weekly Fresh Toast 2017: A Brunch Event
Presented by Orange Coast Alfa Romeo and Fiat
Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 11am to 2pm at Newport Dunes

Orange County's first large-scale brunch event is back in its second year, taking place once again at Newport Dunes overlooking the back bay of Newport Beach. In celebration of the 2017 brunch edition of OC Weekly's Eat+Drink issue that hit newsstands on February 23rd, Fresh Toast 2017 presented by Orange Coast Alfa Romeo and Fiat will introduce the best brunch spots, chefs and menus in Orange County to 1,500 attendees in an exceptional sampling experience.

Taking place on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 11am to 2pm in and around the Bayside Pavilion tent at Newport Dunes, this event will not only feature unlimited brunch bites, but also a bloody mary competition and music by DJ Johnny Knight in the main tent and David Rosales in the waterfront VIP Garden.

The Bloody Battle, presented by Reyka Vodka, will have eight competitors that attendees will sample from and then vote on who they think had the best bloody mary, best presentation, and most unique drink. The competitors include: 902 Pacifica Restaurant and Bar, A&O Kitchen + Bar, Backyard Mary, Ecco, Saint Marc, The Hub, Hendrix Restaurant and The Deck. Attendees will also get to battle glaciers and obstacles in hopes of making the perfect Moscow Mule in a special virtual reality experience by Reyka Vodka, as well as participate in unique drink tastings from a 1940's Don Julio Tequila Truck, custom woodie trailer by Bulleit Bourbon and spicy micheladas from the Michemobile VW bus.

As of press time, the following restaurants and brands have confirmed attendance at Fresh Toast: A Market, Alta Baja Market, Angelina's Pizzeria, Anchor Hitch, Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, Back Bay Bistro, Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, Burritos La Palma, Chunk N Chip Clay Oven, CUCINA enoteca, Electric City Butcher, El Mercado Modern, Fresh Brothers, Greenleaf Chopshop, James Republic, Krave Asian Fusion Restaurant, Las Brisas, Memphis Café, Miguel's Jr., One Love Tea N Eats, Outpost Kitchen, Restauration, Roy's , Ruby's Diner, Saint Marc, Chef TLC's Sidewalk Café, Skyloft, The Cannery , The Crema Café, The Halal Guys, Urban Seoul,Velvet Lounge and Yard House. Drink purveyors include: Bulleit Bourbon, Don Julio Tequila, Aperol, LIFEWTR, Nekter Juice Bar, Pure Leaf Iced Tea, Reyka Vodka, Sapporo, Tru Bru Organic Coffee and micheladas from the Michemobile.

Tickets are available for purchase at http://www.ocweekly.com/freshtoast. GA tickets include drink samples, unlimited food samples and access to artisanal vendors for $40. VIP tickets are $60 and include all the benefits of GA plus the added amenities of a separate expedited entrance, a VIP tote bag by Pacific City, access to the waterfront VIP Garden outfitted by Tidelli Outdoor Living plus champagne sampling by J Vineyards & Winery.

A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the Ben Carlson Foundation and their efforts to continually offer annual scholarships in memory of the Newport Beach lifeguard who lost his life on duty during the July 4th, 2014 weekend.
