ORANGE COUNTY VISITORS ASSOCIATION HOSTS 7TH ANNUAL TOURISM CONFERENCE ON MAY 6
"The OC" Honors National Travel & Tourism Week (May 2-10) by Spotlighting Key Industry Issues and Trends, Together with a Celebration of Disneyland's 60th Anniversary
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (April 15, 2015)-The Orange County Visitors Association (OCVA) will host the 7th Annual OC Tourism Conference at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in Anaheim on May 6, 2015. Tourism is a leading industry in Orange County, generating nearly $10.7 billion in visitor spending last year---an 11.2 percent increase over 2013. The region welcomed more than 46 million visitors in 2014, which is a new record. This year's conference theme is "Celebrating OC Tourism Traditions."
Tourism leaders at the local and state levels will present on travel trends and best practices for the upcoming year, including:
Michael A. Colglazier, President of Disneyland Resort will be a guest speaker; along with Caroline Beteta, President & CEO of the industry-led marketing organization Visit California; Shawn Nelson, Orange County Supervisor; and Jim Brody, President of Sense of Place, a company dedicated to helping destination marketing organizations navigate the digital landscape.
In addition to the conference agenda, Presenting Partner Disneyland Resort will share insights into how the "Happiest Place on Earth" remains relevant to generation after generation of families around the world, as well as a sneak peek at a few elements from their upcoming Diamond Celebration.
