What's not to love about The OC?

Orange County offers a wealth of romantic possibilities for every season. If you're in the mood for love, make a date with The OC.

Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach

Rise and shine for a romantic walk along the beach. Miles of sand beaches span San Clemente, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Sunset Beach and Seal Beach. In Laguna Beach, more than 20 different beaches and coves are easily accessible from Coast Highway. Be sure to visit Laguna's renowned tidepools at low tide. Most beaches in The OC - like San Clemente City Beach by the pier or Thalia Street Beach in Laguna - are within walking distance to coffee shops, cafes and restaurants, where you can grab an early breakfast near the ocean.

Late Morning to Noon

Take a scenic drive on Pacific Coast Highway where you'll find plenty of roadside attractions along the way. In Newport Coast (between Laguna Beach and Newport Beach), Historical Crystal Cove State Park retains the feeling of a 1930s beach community. Take the shuttle from the park's Los Trancos parking lot to the charming Beachcomber Café on the sand. A renovated vintage beach cottage from a bygone era, The Beachcomber serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or for a traditional date shake, stop at Ruby's Shack Shack (7703 E. Coast Hwy.) on PCH in Newport Coast.

Early Afternoon

Pamper yourself with a couple's massage or spa treatment at any number of world-class resort spas along the coast, including Spa Montage in Laguna Beach features indoor and outdoor treatment rooms overlooking the ocean. A roster of rejuvenating treatments awaits you at any of the resorts in the OCeanfront Luxury Collection, many of which offer indoor and outdoor treatment rooms overlooking the ocean. Spas include The Waterfront Beach Resort; Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa; Balboa Bay Club & Resort; Surf & Sand Resort; and the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

Book a one-hour, private gondola cruise and glide through the scenic bays and canals of Newport Harbor while sipping wine with your significant other beneath the stars.

After your gondola cruise, enjoy a romantic harbor-side dinner in Newport Beach or Balboa Island. Some of the city's more romantic restaurants include 21 Oceanfront, Villa Nova, The Cannery and Newport Landing.

After Dinner

Take a stroll along the charming streets of Balboa Island and imagine yourself living in one of the unique jewel-box homes that line the waterfront. Stop at the iconic Village Inn restaurant for a cocktail and live music.
