Doheny State Beach

Doheny was the first designated state beach in the California State Park system. This state beach is two parks in one - with camping in the southern area and day use in the northern area. There is a five-acre lawn with picnic facilities and volleyball courts. The camping section has 122 campsites and some of the sites are only steps away from the beach. This is the only location in the state park system with an aquarium. Located at the intersection of Del Obispo and Dana Point Harbor Drive.

Salt Creek Beach

Salt Creek Beach provides residents access to 18 acres of public beach. The park consists of a landscaped parking facility, a grass-park area with picnic tables, sandy beaches, rocky promontories, and sheer cliffs. The original ravine canyon, locally known as Salt Creek, makes the northern boundary of the beach. A small reef creates some of the best swells along the shoreline making this beach area a popular surfing location. |
