Located in Huntington Beach, the park extends three miles from Sunset Beach to Seapoint Avenue. A bikeway path connects it with Huntington State Beach, seven miles south. This beach is located at the northern end of Huntington Beach and is known for its gentle, manageable waves - an ideal location to master surfing. Bolsa Chica is also a great beach for surf fishing, wildlife and bird watching since Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve located directly across the highway. Lifeguard services provided and overnight camping is available.

This stretch of beach was immortalized by the surf tunes of the 1960s and still today maintains a lively surf culture. If you’re looking for action, Huntington City Beach is where it’s at. The waves are perfect for surfers and body boarders, and are excellent for swimming. The landmark Huntington Beach Pier, one of the longest recreational piers on the West Coast, is located here in Downtown Huntington Beach. This beach is the site for surf competitions and other events throughout the year.
Huntington Harbour
Huntington Harbour must be one of the most romantic places to go in Southern California. Enjoy gondola rides and sip wine at sunset or rent a boat or kayak for an all-day cruise or fishing trip through navigable canals.

This popular beach extends two miles from Beach Boulevard to the Santa Ana River on the Newport Beach boundary. Surfing, skating and surf fishing are popular activities and the park has fire rings for bonfires. Huntington State Beach is the site of a nesting sanctuary for the California Least Tern, a rare and endangered bird species, and the Snowy Plover. The park features a bicycle trail and provides lifeguard services. No overnight camping.
