City & County Information

Anaheim/Orange County

Welcome to Anaheim, California!

Anaheim, The OC's second largest city, is a vibrant metropolis attracting approximately 20 million visitors each year.  You'll find plenty of things to see and do: inviting OC beaches, unparalleled shopping and entertainment, trendy restaurants, sexy nightlife, championship golf, lively art districts, and ultimate family attractions and theme parks.  Warm sunshine, swaying palm trees and breathtaking ocean views create a relaxed lifestyle where shorts, sandals and sunglasses are always in season.

Major Anaheim attractions include Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney District, Anaheim Convention Center, Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Honda Center, home of the NHL Anaheim Ducks, The Grove, and a large number of hotels and family-friendly restaurants.

Anaheim of today is very different from years past. The center of Anaheim's visitor industry has undergone a 5 billion dollar transformation and reinvented itself as the Anaheim ResortTM district.  Today, the Anaheim Resort district welcomes visitors year-round to experience theme park thrills, professional sports and recreation and innovative meetings, trade show and special events in a world-class resort destination.

The Anaheim Resort district is filled with palm tree-lined boulevards creating a classic Southern California environment. Although the Resort is a walkable setting, a convenient visitor shuttle service (ART - Anaheim Resort Transport) is also available to transport visitors between hotels, attractions, the Anaheim Convention Center, and nearby shopping, dining and evening entertainment.

Whether it's for business or pleasure, hotels close to the Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Convention Center put you right in the center of all there is to see and do in Orange County. There are approximately 20,000 hotel rooms in Anaheim alone!  There's an option for everyone within the Anaheim Resort Hotel collection.

Hungry in Anaheim?  An array of diverse dining options are just footsteps away, from casual, family-friendly atmospheres to exquisite fine dining.  The Anaheim Resort's restaurant scene now offers more than ever before, from the famed steak houses like Morton's The Steakhouse and Ruth's Chris Steak House, to some of the nation's most popular restaurants such as McCormick and Schmick's Grille, PF Chang's, Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and California Pizza Kitchen, all of which can be found at the nearby dining, shopping and entertainment center, Anaheim GardenWalk.

The high-energy district of Downtown Disney features a fantastic array of dining options and tasty cuisine including Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, House of Blues and Catal Restaurant & Uva Bar.

Two of Anaheim's award-winning restaurants, located conveniently close to the Anaheim Resort, excel in terms of inventive cuisine and outstanding service: Anaheim White House and Mr. Stox. Lively atmosphere and fresh California cuisine can be enjoyed at the ultra-modern The Catch Restaurant, just a short taxi ride away.  Family fare is all abundant in the Anaheim Resort District, and many area restaurants have a "kids eat free" option, so be sure to ask for special offers.
