Beach Weddings

The best beach weddings are in Orange County, CA. The weather is sunny all year-round and the beaches are always being used. Find the best beach weddings at these venues, whether extravagant, casual, budget-friendly or traditional, The OC can accommodate to your specific wedding style:

Dana Point

The city of Dana Point will let you have a wedding on the beach with a permit. You can have a maximum of 1000 guests on the actual beach with chairs and an arch. Contact the city of Dana Point (949) 248-3530 for permit information.

Huntington Beach

You will need a permit for a beach wedding here. There is an application and a site fee you can get on their web site. There are some limitations with this wedding, like no fencing off the area, no alcohol or amplified sound and it closes around 10:00 pm every night. Call  (714) 536-5281 for any questions.

Newport Beach

The city allows a free wedding ceremony on the beach! There are some limitations though, the biggest one is that you are not allowed to reserve a spot. It is first-come first-serve. You are limited to a maximum of 50 people. Alcohol, amplified sound, tables, chairs and arches are not permitted either.

Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach allows informal weddings via permit. The different fees are listed on the website depending on which beach you would like to get married on. The maximum capacity can range from 40 people to 95 people. You can hold a wedding for up to two hours, but you can't block off the area, smoke, drink, or set up tables, chairs and archways.
