OC Fair: The 2019 OC Fair is the second largest fair in California! Runs July 12 through Aug. 11 and will feature Acres of Fun! Costa Mesa’s Michelin Star Restaurants: During a special event on June 3, 2019, with MICHELIN Guide representatives and Visit California, two Costa Mesa restaurants and their chefs were awarded a MICHELIN Star and the coveted chef’s coat – Hana Re and Chef Atsushi Yokoyama along with Taco María and Chef Carlos Salgado were selected amongst 90 restaurants in California, and were the only two selected from the 34 cities in Orange County.
Costa Mesa Live Entertainment: Friday Night Jazz on the Argyros Plaza. Bring your friends and family, pack and picnic or purchase food and drink at George’s Café and enjoy a night of free live jazz music and dancing on Friday’s, all summer long.
Doheny Surf and Art Festival: Taking place June 22-23, Doheny Surf and Art Festival is a free two-day celebration of the Southern California surfing lifestyle. Guests will enjoy a variety of surf contests, live music, the Kona Beer Garden, Polynesian dancing, a classic Woody car show and more during this weekend event at Doheny State Beach.
Movies in the Park: Every Friday in June, visitors and locals alike can enjoy an evening under the stars, reminiscent of the old drive-in movies, but on the grass at Lantern Bay Park. The event is free to the public. Showings include Mary Poppins Returns, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Christopher Robin and Hotel Transylvania 3 Summer Vacation.
- Dana Point Trolley: Featuring an open-air design to maximize ocean views and breezes, the Dana Point Trolley makes frequent stops across town at local restaurants, resorts and hotels, beach and parks. Just like Dana Point, the trolley is warm, inviting and welcomes visitors and locals alike. Free all summer long, the Dana Point Trolley visits more than two dozen stops, arriving at each stop every 15 minutes. Not just for visitors, local surfers and lovers of watersports can utilize the trolley’s free racks to load up their surfboards and SUP gear on the way to catch some waves or a quiet place to paddle. The Dana Point Trolley is also handicap accessible and pet friendly.

FivePoint Amphitheatre Brings Live Music Back to Irvine! 2019 Summer Concert Schedule. The new 12,000-seat FivePoint Amphitheatre replaces the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater which closed in October 2016, after 36 years of entertaining music fans. It is the first brand new amphitheater to be built in Orange County since 1983. Upon entry to the venue, guests are ushered into a wide, grassy concessions area featuring an array of craft beer, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as food from local eateries. The amphitheater has three sets of bleachers with 6,500 individual fold-down seats, including the 280 seats located within the VIP box area.
The 2019 Vans US Open of Surfing presented by Swatch returns to the southside of the Huntington Beach Pier to host some of the world’s top action sports talent in surfing, skateboarding and BMX competitions from July 27 through August 4, 2019. One of the largest action sports festivals in the world, the nine-day event also features a full calendar of engaging creative activities for the entire family to enjoy, including customization workshops, on-site surfboard shaping, public skate and BMX sessions, movie premieres, vendor exhibitions, giveaways and art installations. OC Yoga Festival: Come join the local yoga community for the OC Yoga Festival ‘Summer Edition’ in Huntington Beach. Enjoy yoga classes hosted by the top local yoga studios, 5K fun-run, meditation & sound healing, workshops, talks, live music, concert and over 80 vendors! Your ticket will give you access to yoga classes and workshops. This 2-day event is for all ages and yoga levels; beginners and advanced welcome and free to attend the vendor village.
Huntington Beach Surf Schools: There’s a reason Huntington Beach, CA is known as “Surf City USA,” as this destination is home to year-round surf conditions making it an ideal place for newcomers who wish to learn how to shred, or at least stand up, on their board. There are seven surf breaks with beginner-friendly waves to choose from – all can be found within the area’s ten miles of coastline. Huntington Beach’s multiple schools offer lessons for all ages. 2019 Annual Sawdust Art Festival is open daily from Friday, June 28 through Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 10am to 10pm. Located outdoors in in a cool three-acre eucalyptus grove in the heart of Laguna Beach, Sawdust Art Festival features a picturesque and eclectic hand-built village featuring the fine art and craft of over 200 local artists and makers. 200 artists, three stages of live music and entertainment, art classes and daily demonstrations, glassblowing, hands-on pottery wheel, craft beer and wine, outdoor eateries and cafes.
Pageant of the Masters: 2019 Theme Revealed. Marty McFly from “Back to the Future” and Doctor Who owe a debt to Victorian writer H.G. Wells who published his first novel, The Time Machine, in 1895. Blue Whale Migration Cruise 2019, $20 Special. The annual “Giant Blue Whale Migration” brings hundreds of blue whales each spring & summer to the waters off Laguna & Newport Beach. Over 1,000 whales were viewed last spring/summer 2018 of which 130 were the giant blue whales.
